ULURU™ 4-port Broadband Omnidirectional 5G FWA Antenna System
Frequently Asked Questions
How does the ULURU™ antenna system work?
The antenna system was designed to feature 4-ports, broadband performance, high realized efficiency, high isolation between antenna ports, and omnidirectional radiation patterns. These design features of the antenna system enable its high performance in terms of throughput when connected to LTE/5G gateway. In addition, because the antenna system is external to LTE/5G gateway, it allows operation with higher Signal to Noise (SNR) as compared to an embedded (internal) antenna system typically used in carrier-grade LTE/5G gateways.
What is the ULURU™ antenna used for?
Carrier-grade LTE/5G gateways feature embedded antenna systems which perform poorly due to their small dimensions, limiting realized efficiency. ULURU was designed to improve the performance of LTE/5G gateways in terms of throughput and wireless connection reliability beyond what is achievable with embedded antennas employed traditionally in LTE/5G gateway products.
How does the ULURU™ antenna compare to other 5G FWA antenna systems?
Unlike traditional antennas, the ULURU antenna system features high realized efficiency and stable broadband performance, which improves received signal strength and ultimately throughput, making it an excellent choice for an external antenna system for LTE/5G gateways. Due to omnidirectional radiation patterns the performance of ULURU does not depend on the deployment orientation as compared to other antenna systems.
Why does ULURU™ have four ports?
The majority of high-performance 5G gateways feature four broadband LTE/5G embedded antennas, which ULURU aims to replace. 4-port MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) design enhances network capacity, throughput, and connection stability, beyond 2-port MIMO systems.
